Mary Janet took Facebook by storm with her kindness and talented cooking skills that she shared with many through her cookbook and videos—Tunes and Wooden Spoons! A singer, dancer and lover of our music on Cape Breton Island. Mary Janet comes from a talented family with music and dance rooted through her, she has shared her talents with many and has passed her music on to her children.
True friends of the Centre, these three recognize not only its important mission but a place that allows anyone to come and learn about our culture and music while experiencing it first hand. We are grateful for their support and appreciation of our efforts.
Ashley promotes and preserves Celtic music on the global stage. One of the most acclaimed Canadian roots musicians, he has helped to spread the love for jigs, reels, and more around the world.
A familiar face here at the centre, Roddie always brings a smile wherever he goes. Our very own Mayor of Judique is, without a doubt, one of our centre’s greatest supporters. You can always find him on the dance floor every Sunday Ceilidh and we hope to see him there for many more to come!
